4Words Copywriting – ready to rise to your occasion

Proving my worth

Truth is, I mostly forget to ask my clients for testimonials. I’m not shy about asking. It’s just that once their current copywriting is done and dusted, I’m focused on what’s next.

Furthermore, lots of my clients keep me on, writing whatever they need as their businesses grow and change. Being on opposite sides of the planet has had zero effect on these loyal, longstanding relationships.

As proof goes, I’m happy with that.

When I’ve remembered to ask some of my remarkable clients for feedback, here’s what they said:

Contented clients, kind words

‘It’s always a pleasure to work with Mary. It’s really refreshing working with someone who understands our business and what we’re aiming to achieve.
Most importantly, I can rely on a rapid, spot on response to any copy job I throw at her.

Mary is a very skilled and experienced copywriter. She is also great at working with my team to make the whole process of producing our marketing materials flow smoothly.’

Rhys Walker, CEO, Floveyor

I often work with Mary and she absolutely keeps her promises: her copyedited and proofread documents sound exactly like a better version of me!

My non-native English content can be challenging, not only grammatically. I write articles and blogs on digital marketing and technology related topics and Mary has a a sound understanding of my subject area. Her feedback is always constructive, accurate and appropriate. Besides being a skilled editor and proofreader,

Mary is also very pleasant to work with. I’m glad I found her, and I couldn’t recommend her more!

Mary is the Swiss Army knife of wordsmithery, without being Swiss or a knife. She is insanely easy to work with, and she ‘got’ my situation and brand immediately.   To say that Mary is quick and effective is an understatement. She turns out honest, engaging copy,  that perfectly balances personality and professionalism at warp speed.  I’m now drafting  something deliberately awful just so I can work with her again!

Louis Valenzuela, Product Designer at LV

‘Mary is wonderful to work with; she is kind, encouraging and fun.

I worked with Mary on developing my website and her expertise and support is second to none. She is flexible and clear and very knowledgeable. My website copy exceeded my expectations.

Despite huge geographic distance and different time zones Mary always responded quickly to questions and requests for updates.

I couldn’t recommend her more!’

‘I am more than happy with Mary’s work. I received great value from 4Words.’

Paul Cooper Managing Director, estrat

‘Writing just isn’t my cup of tea but working with Mary is a breeze!

Somehow she manages to get into my brain and articulate the things that I can’t, in a style and tone that completely suits my business. I just love how she takes my words and magics them into lovely paragraphs in a way I never could.

It is a pleasure to work with Mary. She is really collaborative and wonderful at taking an idea and running with it. I’m very appreciative of having her on my ‘team’.’

‘We engaged Mary to assist us with setting up the content on our website. Mary is a pleasure to deal with. She has great creative ideas and the Stinson Air South West team is extremely happy with the end result.’

Gary Hodge, General Manager, Stinson Air South West

‘Mary analysed, edited and expanded our initial website copy draft in a timely and creative manner. She is an amazing and highly experienced copywriter who is friendly, easy to work with. She also really understands today’s competitive marketing environment.

Something we found unique to 4Words was Mary’s ability to provide excellent support to organise our overall website structure and content. Her advice helped us to develop our digital marketing to address operational and strategic business needs.

We strongly recommend 4Words. Mary offers cost-effective creative solutions and high-impact business copywriting.’

Dr. Ned Zahran, Director, Capel Medical Clinic

I’m always amazed by Mary’s work. She writes the cleverest, most magical jewellery descriptions imaginable, at a moment’s notice. Her website copy for Henschke Jewellery is simply beautiful.

Evelyn Henschke, Master Jeweler, Henschke Jewellery

Mary captured the spirit of the Marq Wines adventure, which is equally about the art, and science of winemaking. Her website copy tells our story in a clever and interesting way; on time and on budget. I’d recommend Mary to anyone looking for beautifully written and succinct copywriting that tells a great story.

Danielle Warren Proprietor, Marq Wines

Mary is an amazing copywriter.

I send her a mishmash of thoughts, ideas, sometimes ramblings and she turns them into masterpieces.

I can’t thank her enough for her wonderful words, unflagging energy, brutal honesty, patience and persistence in getting my web copy and blog editing done in a timely and professional manner.

If you need an intuitive, client centered copywriter who keeps everything real, I recommend you work with Mary.

I am really pleased with how our new site turned out. I can honestly say that it would not be 1/10th of the site that it is without Mary’s valuable guidance and clear communication. Not just in her skillful copywriting but also in the way she helped to clarify communication between all the parties on our project.

Brian Burrell, Director Sales and Service, Envirocare Systems

I also write ‘white label’ content for contented clients who prefer to keep our arrangement a secret.

Wondering how I work?

When you contact me, here’s what happens:

1. Chat and propose

We organise a time to chat about your project by Skype or Zoom or telephone. If we’re a good fit, I send you a copy brief so you can give me enough information to write you a detailed proposal and quote.

2. Confirm and commit

We discuss and finalise the scope and timing of your project based on this proposal. You secure your place in my schedule with a 50% deposit.

3. Research and write for tone

You give me any and all background material we’ve agreed on. I take a forensic look at your competitors’ websites and social media. I research your industry and pinpoint your customers’ problems. I find creative, credible ways to convince people of your great solutions.

I write the first page so you can approve the tone (does it sound like you only better?)

4. Write and review the first draft

You give me the go ahead, I write the first draft. If you love it we go straight to sign off.

If we need to tweak the copy, your quote covers two rounds of revisions. It’s fast and easy to do revisions via Skype or Zoom. However, you can also mark up the draft using the track changes tool in MS Word.

5. Sign off and celebrate

Once you’ve signed off on the final draft, I’ll invoice you for the balance of your bill. My payment terms are 14 days. If you’re happy to give me a testimonial, I’ll be delighted.
